Kate Carew was a reporter and caricaturist who reported on white slavery, among other topics, in 1910. She was one of the few female writers who interviewed prostitutes while they were being held in Night Court, or Women’s Prison. Rediscovering Kate Carew is a forthcoming documentary about Carew’s life story and features interviews with Katie Johnson about Progressive-Era prostitution.
